After you have painted the walls and cleaned the tiles and put shower curtains, you need light. And not just a dim bulb at the center of the bathroom, you need several bright lights.
Having two to three windows in your bathroom to allow natural light in is excellent. The bulbs in the bathroom should produce soft light, not intense yellow-orange beams that you use in other rooms.
